As the question asks if the cardio workout lasts for 15 minutes is it still possible to workout after or is it defeating the purpose of the cardio session?

15 minutes is kind of short, as far as cardio workouts go. Don’t get me wrong…15 mins of HIIT is MUCH better than no cardio, but I always recommend a min. of 30 mins of cardio. I know when I do interval cardio, I usually start with 10 mins. of light cardio to warm up, then 30 mins of hard charging intervals, followed by 5 mins of light warm down cardio. I would adjust your HIIT time upwards a little.
